Who is responsible for processing your personal data?

Made In Verse is the Data Controller of the User’s personal data and informs you that such data will be processed in compliance with the European and Spanish regulations on personal data protection, namely:

Meta Quest device data:

  • Headset movement: We collect information about the position and movement of the headset to enable specific functionalities and ensure an immersive experience.
  • Hand tracking: We use hand-tracking data to allow interactions within the application, such as manipulating virtual elements.
  • Passthrough: We access the passthrough functionality of the device to enable mixed reality features within the application.

User authentication:

  • • A unique code generated during web registration is collected to link your account with the application.

Internet connection:

  • • The application requires an active internet connection to access the PDF files stored on our servers and synchronize data between the web and the application.

Technical data:

  • • IP address, device type, operating system version, and anonymized usage statistics.

2. How We Use the Data

We use the collected data exclusively for the purposes described below:

2.1 Use of Data Collected on the Web
  • Email address: To manage your account, send important notifications, and respond to your inquiries.
  • PDF files: To securely store them on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and allow access through the application.
  • Internet connection: To synchronize data and process authentication and file management requests.
  • Payment-related data: This is processed and managed directly by Meta Quest.
2.2 Use of Data Collected on the Application
  • Headset and hand movement To provide an immersive experience and enable interactions within the application.
  • Passthrough: To enable mixed reality features that enhance the user experience.
  • Unique code: To authenticate your access and link data between the web and the application.
  • Internet connection: To authenticate the user and synchronize files between servers and the device.
  • Technical data: To improve the functionality, performance, and security of the application.

3. Legal Basis for Data Processing

We process your personal data in accordance with applicable laws, including:

  • Performance of a contract: To provide you with the services requested on the web and in the application (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
  • Consent: For specific purposes, such as the use of advanced features (e.g., passthrough).
  • Legitimate interests: To ensure the security and functionality of the application and prevent fraud.

4. Data Storage and Security

Personal data and uploaded files are stored on servers provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Server locations: Data may be stored in data centers located in the European Union or other GDPR-compliant regions.
  • Data protection: AWS implements advanced security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal and technical data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless the law requires or allows longer retention periods. Below are the retention periods and purposes by data type:

  • Headset, hand, and passthrough data: This data is processed locally on the device while the application is in use and is not stored on any server.
  • Connection data and web requests: This data is retained as long as your account is active and necessary for service functionality, or as required by applicable law (including the email address used during web registration and your Meta Quest username).
  • PDF files: Uploaded files are retained on our Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers as long as your account remains active

Usage data:

Made In Verse may retain Usage Data (such as statistics and interaction patterns with our application) for internal analysis purposes. Generally, this data is retained for short periods, except in the following cases:

If it is necessary to strengthen the security of our platform.

If it is used to improve the functionality of our services.

If the law requires its retention for longer periods.

7. Data Deletion

7.1 Manual Deletion of PDF Files

Users can delete PDF files at any time from their account. Once deleted, these files are permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.

7.2 Account Deletion

If the user deletes their account, all associated data (including PDF files) will be permanently deleted within a maximum of 30 days, unless required by law to retain it.

7.3 How to Request Account Deletion
